Matisse-inspired painting

When I was little, I had a book called “When Pigasso Met Mootisse” by Nina Laden. It was about Picasso and Matisse as animal versions of themselves and how working through conflict can lead to masterpieces. I wanted to make my own Matisse inspired painting and chose “The Goldfish” to recreate because the fish swimming around in their bowl bring me joy. I used the same process as I did for my self-portrait and drew in pencil then applied acrylic paint.
